Before and After School/Summer Classroom

Northland Early Education Center also provides an on-site before and after school and summer program for children who have special needs, ages 6 to 14. The program consists of one lead teacher with a ratio of 1 to 5.

NEEC follows the Constructivist Approach which allows for the children to construct their knowledge through exploration and play. The Before and After School Program also follows the same approach, but may alter its environment by bringing material to the child to meet their specific needs.

The Before and After School Program’s lead teacher uses each child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) to develop goals, and offers biannual parent/teacher conferences to each family as well as daily notes that are specific to each child.
