The Lending Library allows families to borrow resources that conveniently promote literacy skills at home. NEEC has acquired some children’s books through the Scholastics book fair, parent books through NAEYC and other educational institutions, program and community pamphlets and resources. Also available is Missouri’s Pre-K Standards and First Steps Parent Handbook. Our goal is to increase the diversity of the library by obtaining a grant to fund educational activities such as games and materials that can be utilized at home and to purchase future items to keep it current.
Lending Library Policy
Borrowers will appropriately and respectfully use and supervise the use of the materials and are re- sponsible for the replacement or reimbursement, at cash value, of any and all materials lost, partially lost, stolen, or damaged while checked out. Return of all complete and undamaged materials shall be re- turned on the date specified on the check out form.
Process
If you are interested in borrowing a book or activity from the Lending Library, please read the Lending Library Policy and carefully fill out the “check out form” completely. You will be requested to provide:
- Your Name and the Child’s Name
- Title of Book or Activity
- Who will be using the resource
- When you plan to return the materials
- Signature stating you understand the Lending Library Policy
